Reminder - we have a league officials training on Wednesday, June 7th from 6-7pm at Evendale Rec Center. I will be in attendance and with the size of our team this year, it is necessary that we have as many parents as possible represent our team at this training. 

• Training to be an official does not mean you have to work every meet. The more officials we train the lighter the load!
• You do not need a background in swimming to learn how to officiate. It’s often more beneficial if you don’t, as you are more able to follow the current rules without a past bias.
• We can’t run our meets without officials and we currently have very few trained officials on our team.
• You will be able to “shadow” a current official and ask lots of questions as we run our dual meets. There are always mistakes made, that is why we give benefit of the doubt to the swimmer.
