Blue Fin Families,

Thank you to all that were able to attend our parent meeting last night! We have over 170 swimmers registered and are looking forward to a great season. I am continuing to work with the Rec Center on numbers for each age group, as soon as I have an update on that I will let you know.

With our numbers being so high, there are a few things to note going into the summer. Summer swim team is the first step into competitive swimming. Our goal is learning and having fun, but we do expect all swimmers to compete in meets. Our practices are meant to be teaching tools for competition, so please plan to attend our meets if you are part of the team. We may not have the ability to put every swimmer in 4 events per meet due to numbers, but we will make every effort to fill as many events as we can through the summer. Second, our evening practices can get very full and therefore very overwhelming. If your 11 & over swimmer has the availability to attend our 6-7pm time slot, I would strongly recommend they choose that time. The first hour is always more crowded with our younger swimmers. We may put more age restrictions on practices depending on our first week attendance. For now, attend as you are able and I will let you know if anything changes.
