Blue Fin Families,

Yesterday was the last official day for tryout evaluations. If any more families need to tryout, we will do them on an as needed basis. Our numbers are awesome this season and the coaching staff is looking forward to beginning morning practices on Monday, June 6th. The morning practice schedule will be the following:

8:00 - 9:30am – ages 11-18

9:30 - 10:30am – ages 9-10

10:30 - 11:15am – ages 7-8

11:15 - 11:45am – 6 and under & Stroke Clinic (first week will be diving & streamlines)

Our Intersquad meet will be Thursday, June 9th. Plan to arrive by 5:00pm, we will get organized and have a short warm-up at 5:15. I highly recommend all swimmers attend. It is a good refresher for seasoned families and an easy way to learn how a swim meet works for new families. Please sign your swimmers up on our website by June 8th at 8pm to allow for the swimmers to be seeded into teams and us to create a heat sheet. Below is a link to a video tutorial on how to sign your swimmers up for meets and parents up for job positions. If your swimmer is entered in a meet, you are expected to volunteer. Swim meets take a large number of volunteers and there is a position for everyone! We will walk through all the positions at the intersquad meet if you have questions.

We will only swim freestyle events at the intersquad meet and will go from oldest to youngest to allow the younger swimmers to watch events run. We will also match our Big Fin/Little Fin swimmers at the end of the meet and run through practicing our team cheers. If you have any questions about the intersquad meet, please let me know.

I will be out tonight as my oldest has fourth grade celebration, but Kelly and Cora will be there and we have a number of older swimmers who will be helping on deck and in the pool. Have a great weekend and enjoy the last few days of school for those still in session!
